Running route
 
 

The route

The race day route has been agreed in principle by the Northern Ireland Police Service [PSNI].  The run route will take you through the streets of Armagh City - here is the breakdown of the route:

  • START LINE on College Hill
    [close to Armagh Planetarium & Armagh Royal School]
  • Straight across the 'Drumadd' roundabout, onto the Portadown Road
  • Run along Portadown Road
  • Straight across the 'Drumman Heights' roundabout
  • Left turn onto the Drummanmore Road
  • Left turn onto the Ballybrannon Road
  • HALF WAY POINT
  • Water stop before end of Ballybrannon Road
  • Left turn onto the Loughall Road
  • Straight across the 'Loughall Road/Moy Road/Railway Street' roundabout, onto Railway Street
  • Turn left at 'Armagh Courthouse' roundabout
  • Turn right (immediately) onto The Mall East
  • Run along The Mall East/Charlemont Gardens
  • FINISH LINE on The Mall East

The City of Armagh

Armagh (from the Irish: Ard Mhacha meaning "The Height of Macha") is one of the three a cities in Northern Ireland, the county town of County Armagh.
Armagh was granted a Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth II in 1994, and City status was officially re-conferred in 1995.
